Personal integrity and the importance of justice is at the core of this outstanding feature debut by former journalist Mara Tamkovich. Inspired by the true story of reporter Katsiaryna Andreyeva, who was arrested in Belarus after covering peaceful protests following the 2020 elections, it uses archive footage alongside the drama, emphasising the connection. Strong lead performances show the dilemmas faced in both personal and professional spheres as the journalist and her husband strive to make the best choices, seeking to survive with dignity. Winner of the first feature prize at Gdynia Film Festival 2024.
