A radiant contemplation on intuition, identity, and invisible connection, The Double Life of Véronique traces the lives of two women who have never met and yet seem mysteriously bound. One lives in Poland, the other in France; both share the same face, the same fragile sensitivity, and a quiet sense that they are not alone in the world. Kieslowski invites us to contemplate parallel lives, spiritual doubles, and those fleeting moments when we feel touched by something beyond reason.

For anyone who has ever wondered if they have a doubleganger somewhere out there, this film gives that intuition a haunting, beautiful resonance.

Screening preceded by short film Kieślowski by Quay Brothers (10 mins)

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Krzysztof Kieślowski’s death, the Quay Brothers have made a short film dedicated to the work and life of one of the most important directors of European cinema. The project is a poetic journey into the images, ideas, and intuitions that shaped Kieślowski’s artistic world. The film combines documentary reflection with the Quay Brothers’ characteristic visual metaphor, animation, and a subtle, oneiric narrative texture.
