The hero of the film is Daniel Olbrychski – the most famous Polish actor. He has played the main roles in five films nominated for an Oscar. Two of them – “The Tin Drum” and “Dangerous Moves” had won the Oscar. This film is a portrayal of an artist and also all human beings, which is part of European cinema. His professional successes are intertwined with personal failures. In the film we will see, among others, outstanding actors – Krystyna Janda, Maja Komorowska, Andrzej Seweryn, a popular singer Maryla Rodowicz and directors – Volker Schlondorff, Jerzy Hoffman, Andrzej Wajda and Krzysztof Zanussi.
