In the heart of the Polish lake district, the village of Stare Juchy has been pulled apart. Around one-third of its residents have migrated to Iceland for work. All that remains are their elderly parents, holding on to the hopeful sound of an incoming Skype call. In Touch is a decidedly human look at what it means to stay in contact in a globalised world, and how despite widespread connectivity, we can still feel isolated and alone. The film won the Human Values Award for Best Film at the Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival.
Screening will be followed by Q&A with Paweł Ziemilski.
