London-based multimedia and visual artists Giorgia Ascolani and James Dawe have reimagined the iconic Polish Poster School film posters for the digital age. They will participate in a panel discussion about their art and inspirations.
One of the Polish Poster School icons, Andrzej Klimowski, will also join the panel alongside Curator and Creative Producer James Bowthorpe and Sylwia Newman of Projekt 26 as well as Dr. Helena Chmielewska-Szlajfer sociology and media expert at Koźmiński University and LSE. They will explore the legacy of the Polish Poster School, its role in contemporary culture, and the future of film posters in general.
