Founded in 2004 by Zygmunt Rytka and Bożenna Biskupska, since 2012 it has been operating in Sokołowsko under the leadership of Zuzanna Fogtt. The aim of the foundation is to create space for international artistic projects, exchange of ideas, support creativity and protect cultural heritage. In Situ’s activities include exhibitions, concerts, workshops, artistic residencies, social and ecological projects, and cyclical festivals: Konteksty Festival of Ephemeral Art, Hommage à Kieślowski, Sanatorium Dźwięku. In Situ also works for the reconstruction of the historic Dr. Brehmer Sanatorium, which is becoming the International Laboratory of Culture and the foundation’s final seat.
